Strawberry Sauce
Farm Community Fund believes in simple recipes that use few ingredients to celebrate the bold flavors of honest food. This simple strawberry sauce is amazing with homemade vanilla ice cream, or farm fresh yogurt. Don’t forget the sweetened, hand whipped cream.
Makes approximately 2 cups
1 quart fresh strawberries, washed, hulled, and drained
1 cup superfine granulated sugar
2 tablespoons rum or cognac
Puree the berried with sugar in a blender until smooth and sugar is dissolved. Turn into a bowl and beat in rum or cognac. Enjoy!
