Chick & Bee Lawn Games with Barr Hill
Our day of lawn games and cocktails was so much fun in South Hero at Snow Farm Winery that we decided to bring it to the Northeast Kingdom! Join us on Saturday, August 28 at the Craftsbury Farmers Market to play our honeybee-themed lawn games and win farm-made prizes and thank-you gifts while sipping Barr Hill summer mocktails.
Farm Community Fund invites you to learn about our mission at this fun community mini-event. On Saturday, August 28, we will feature honeybee-themed lawn games at the Craftsbury Farmers Market to raise awareness of the importance of open land and small farms. Co-hosted by Barr Hill, distillers of Barr Hill Gin, this lively community event is an ode to the hardworking farmers of the Northeast Kingdom, and the hardworking bees, too.
You can play the games with a team or individually. Our fun variations of Corn Hole, Connect Four, Kan Jam, and Giant Jenga illustrate how bees make honey. Keep score on official scorecards to win great prizes from farms, including:
Big Picture Farm farmstead goatmilk caramels
Fat Toad Farm petit caramels
Elmore Mountain Farm soaps, lotions, and massage oils
Barr Hill honey and hand sanitizer
Turning Stone Farm jewelry and pottery
Suggested donation to play is $5 per person per game. Proceeds benefit Farm Community Fund’s Project Grant program and our Northeast Kingdom beneficiary.

About the Beneficiary
The Nulhegan Band of the Coosuk Abenaki People. Their project to install interpretive signs around the states of Vermont and New Hampshire in areas frequented by the public will educate people about their culture, the history of that place, and where they can find out more information about the original peoples.
